HOSTED PBX SYSTEMS
A Hosted PBX system is
simply PBX functionality as a service, not as a hardware system.
In the olden days a business had a large cabinet of
relays, plugs and cables that connected the telephone users within
a company, or to outside telephone company services. This PBX cabinet was the on-premises "host" for the system.
Over time the large cabinet evolved into a centralized telephone
system that began to utilize simple computer functions. There
was still a need for an on-premises hardware system "host"
that directed the use of the telephone system. There was still
a telephone computer hidden in a closet somewhere in the building,
subject to damage and loss.
With the evolution of the Internet came the development of centralized
telephone systems that no longer had to be hosted on premises,
but rather could be hosted in high-security, off-site locations,
with highly trained technicians on duty at all times.
Of course to become an industry standard it takes
more than new technology. Hosted PBX has made its reputation through
its functionality, flexibility and cost-efficiency. You design
the system that you need and you pay only for those services.
In addition your Hosted PBX system grows with your company. Features
are added as they are needed.
Hosted PBX systems are feature-rich, but we will work with you
to make certain your company's Hosted PBX is exactly what you
need, but with the capacity for growth. Think of it like buying
a car: you would only buy the options that you need and can afford.
Hosted PBX might be relatively
new, but PBX-Change is still the same family-owned company
that has made its reputation by delivering individualized service
for over 40 years.
